This is made up of the best barrels from the vintage and is comprised of fruit from the highest elevation at their Pritchard Hill estate. Fermented half in French oak, half in stainless steel and aged 22 months in French oak. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon (100%) is deep garnet-purple colored and bursts from the glass with ripe, expressive crème de cassis, freshly crushed black berries and plum preserves notes with touches of menthol, cinnamon stick, cedar chest and spice box. Medium-bodied, the palate has a firm, grainy texture and oodles of freshness supporting the expressive black fruit preserves, finishing on a lingering spicy note.
